Sometimes it feels like I am the only person who can even see how ridiculously similar every band and song is in the "scene."
Which scene am I talk about? ALL OF THEM!
You have the modern mainstream rock.
You have the pretty boy pop punk/emo.
You have the wanna-be tough guy/pusscore.
And then you have the cheesy high pitched acoustic singers. (they are much like the pretty boy pop punk/emo category, only acoustic and usually solo artists)
The fans are getting ripped off, and they don't seem to realize it. They all think their favorite band is so unique and special and going places, when in fact, the band won't even be remembered because the fame was on myspace and their music sounds like fifty other artists who also have fame on myspace.
This is the hair metal of today. It will die down soon. Maybe the fans should give up already? 2003 - 2013, RIP modern hair metal.
